BAR SOAP
You can instantly make a significant difference in the amount of plastic that you use just by switching back to the simple bar soap. Today, you can find a number of cleansing products in bar form: hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, and even dishwashing detergent.
The primary challenge to bar soaps is the “ick” factor of having to touch the same bar that someone else has touched with their hands, so it may take some education to make them feel at ease.

There are a number of more natural products that provide good cleaning alternatives to toxic and chemical-heavy solutions. For example, one bottle of liquid castile soap can be used to clean a variety of things - from body and hair to laundry, dishes and counter tops!
SPONGE ALTERNATIVES
Although the synthetic sponge has been a default when it comes to cleaning, consider switching to the brush and Swedish cloths as more effective and hygienic alternatives, especially in the kitchen.
